Job summary

GOODWILL SOUTH FLORIDA TEP LLC in Miami Gardens, FL is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to support donation processing, merchandising, and customer service in a busy store.

You will handle cash transactions, assist customers, and help maintain store cleanliness and orderly presentation. High school diploma or equivalent required; 6 months related experience desired. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus; must be able to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus. Knowledge of electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter donor information into a smart device, and thank donors.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other merchandise.
• Cashiering: conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions per procedures.
• Cleaning duties including bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters; report maintenance needs.
• Customer service activities: assist customers, price merchandise, use fitting rooms, offer recycling bags, explain store operations, and use sales techniques to boost store image.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
