Job summary

Goodwill South Florida in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a part-time retail associate to provide customer service, sales support, cashiering, stocking and merchandising duties in a busy store.

Responsibilities include receiving donations, processing merchandise, ringing up sales, cleaning and maintaining store presentation, and assisting customers; flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus. Knowledge of electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device, and thank donors for their items.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares and other merchandise.
• Cashiering: conduct sales transactions and manage cash/credit card handling per standard procedures.
• Cleaning duties across store areas and report maintenance issues.
• Customer service activities: assist customers, price merchandise, assist in fitting rooms, offer recycling bags, explain store operations.
• Work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
