Job summary

Goodwill South Florida Sunset Store in Miami is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to provide friendly customer service, conduct sales at the register, assist donors, stock shelves, and ensure great store presentation.

Qualifications include a high school level education, a willingness to learn, excellent communication, and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; prior cashiering experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device, and thank donors for their donated items.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other merchandise.
• Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions following proper procedures.
• Cleaning duties: bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters; report maintenance issues.
• Customer service activities: customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques to boost sales.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
