Job summary

Hersheypark Camping Resort is seeking a seasonal, part-time Retail Assistant Supervisor to oversee the country store operations and guide the store team. The role involves ensuring accurate transactions, friendly guest service, and adherence to store procedures.

As a Part‑time Team Member, you will engage in POS entry, Galaxy ticket sales, stock management, and end-of-day closing. Perks include free Hersheypark admission and parking, plus discounts on food and shopping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the country store and supervise store employees.
• Enter sales into the POS system and process transactions.
• Sell cross destination attraction tickets via the Galaxy system.
• Stock shelves and rotate product to standard.
• Open and close store and complete end-of-day paperwork.
• Coach and delegate tasks to clerks and enforce break and labor policies.
• Assist with inventory and audit merchandise; ensure accuracy.

Join the team at Hersheypark Camping Resort, campground located a few miles down the road from Hersheypark amusement park that features log and deluxe cabins, tent sites, and partial and full‑hookup sites.

The seasonal retail assistant supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the country store and overseeing the country store employees.

Job Duties

• Entering sales into the POS system*
• Selling cross destination attraction tickets via the Galaxy system*
• Refunding merchandise and attraction tickets*
• Conduct business with guests with a smile, enthusiasm & professionalism*
• Resolve guest opportunities in a timely and professional manner, take steps to minimize any future opportunities*
• Assist in delivering merchandise across the Camping Resort property*
• Handle all cash and credit card transactions*
• Oversee the store opening and closing procedures*
• Complete end of day paperwork and audit store clerk banks/paperwork for accuracy*
• Process the daily change order and audit merchandise & galaxy vault banks*
• Stock shelves and assist with rotating product to standard*
• Ensure all orders are accurately received and put away to standard*
• Assist in overseeing store clerks to include coaching, delegating tasks, ensuring accuracy of accounting work, enforcing lunch break and child labor laws, and reward employees for exceeding expectations*
• Assist with yearly inventory and ensure accurate counting of all store merchandise*
• Assist with cleaning, sweeping & mopping of the Country Store*
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Must be able to safely operate a golf cart
• Must have the ability to multi‑task
• Strong basic math skills and handle cash with a high degree of accuracy
• Must possess problem solving skills
• Must be friendly, upbeat and work well with other employees
• Must be able to interact with our guests with friendliness and professionalism
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to stock bundles of firewood and bags of ice
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Must be able to speak, write & understand English
• Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn & professional image
• Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information

Job Demands

• Physical requirements include standing at least 95% of the shift, walking, bending, pushing and lifting up to 35 pounds
• Schedule includes working hours between 7 am and 11 pm, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in a combination of indoor & outdoor weather conditions
