Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, ensure excellent customer service, and develop a high-performing team.

You will assist with opening and closing, inventory, merchandising, scheduling and loss prevention, while applying corporate directives and maintaining clean, well-stocked facilities.

This front-line leadership role rewards teamwork, initiative, and opportunities for growth in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties (standing, walking, bending, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and process corporate directives.
• Maintain promotional displays and manage inventory, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention and safeguard store assets.
• Train and develop Store Associates and foster a safe, respectful environment.
