Job summary

Bath & Body Works, a leading fragrance and personal care brand, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Columbus, OH. This role partners with the Store Manager to develop associates, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive growth across the store.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication and adaptability with feedback.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Flexible availability for peak days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce performance expectations, goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Act as Manager on Duty and address customer, vendor, or maintenance issues.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to support action plans and execute operations.
• Implement floorset direction to bring the product story to life.
• Perform opening/closing routines including deposits and shipments.
• Set daily direction and goals for the team.
• Provide performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
• Meet payroll targets with appropriate sales floor coverage.
• Lead in-store experiences through selling behaviors and product knowledge.
• Create genuine customer connections through needs discovery and recommendations.
• Train and motivate associates to improve selling and customer experience.
• Reinforce selling expectations, performance, and accountability.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and store standards.
