Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Morrow, GA. You will support the Store Manager by hiring, training, and supervising staff, and by leading meetings to drive performance and customer satisfaction.

You’ll maintain appealing displays, ensure cash handling compliance, and work toward meeting or exceeding budgeted financial targets. Ongoing training is provided and opportunities to transfer to other stores may arise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience supervising 15+ employees in relevant sectors or 1 year with Goodwill training
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Retail, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics plus 1 year supervisory experience
• 4+ years of military service with supervisory experience in lieu of the above
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Proficient with personal computers, POS/sell systems and MS Office
• A driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• As Assistant Store Manager, aid the Store Manager in hiring, training, motivating and supervising staff
• Lead meetings and work to meet customer and donor satisfaction standards
• Maintain displays and merchandising presentations
• Ensure cash handling adheres to policy and drive toward budgeted financial targets
• Ongoing training is provided and opportunities to transfer to other stores may arise
