Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to coordinate daily operations, customer service, donations, and staff training at our Cincinnati store. You will work with the Store Manager to maintain budgets and inventory while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

The role requires experience in retail management, excellent communication, and the ability to manage schedules and payroll with integrity. Weekend/holiday work is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of previous retail progressive management experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail or equivalent industry.
• Experience selecting, assessing, coaching, and developing associates in retail.
• Proficiency in setting and managing schedules for store staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Broad knowledge of thrift and resale industry preferred.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal skills, and integrity.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and execute the overall operation of the retail store with the Store Manager.
• Perform daily admin/clerical tasks: cash handling, ordering supplies, opening/closing.
• Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Assist supervision and training of employees.
• Fulfill duties of production and retail staff when needed, e.g., greeting donors and unloading donations.
• Create an atmosphere of exceptional customer service for internal and external customers.
• Ensure smooth donation processes with proper security procedures.
• Monitor sales transactions and proper procedures.
• Maintain staffing levels and train new associates per policy.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked store and timely paperwork.
