Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center, Inc. in Batesville, IN, seeks a Retail Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations with the Retail Store Manager. You will supervise staff, handle cash, scheduling, training, customer service, donations processing, and ensure safety and compliance with policies.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and a commitment to service, with a focus on donor engagement and community impact.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years experience in retail.
• 2+ years of progressive retail management experience.
• Experience coaching and developing associates.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute store operations in partnership with the Retail Store Manager.
• Perform daily cash handling, ordering supplies, and opening/closing stores.
• Support flexible weekend/holiday operations.
• Assist in supervision and training of employees.
• Maintain exceptional customer service for customers and donors.
• Ensure safety, organization and adherence to policies.
• Manage staffing and payroll within budget.
