Janie and Jack is seeking an inspired Assistant Store Manager in California to join our team and drive exceptional results. You will lead with confidence, coach staff, and ensure a customer-focused, engaging shopping experience for every guest.

You will support the General Manager in daily operations, develop action plans, and manage merchandising strategies to maximize sales and store performance. This role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and peak periods.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of retail sales experience with management experience preferred.
• Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets.
• Experience coaching and training staff to improve product knowledge and selling skills.
• Experience implementing merchandising strategies and changing visual sets.

Responsibilities

• Support General Manager in day-to-day store operations to meet KPIs.
• Collaborate with GM to develop action plans and timelines.
• Lead by example to drive sales and build customer relationships.
• Create and adjust visual and merchandising setups to maximize floor space.
• Utilize tools to enhance the customer experience and adapt to change.
• Motivate the team to achieve hourly, daily, and weekly goals through in-store and omni selling.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment and assist in team recruitment.
• Identify training needs and implement targeted development plans with GM.
• Other duties as assigned.
