Job summary

Janie and Jack in Massachusetts is seeking an inspired Assistant Store Manager to lead our team, drive sales, and deliver an engaging shopping experience for every customer.

You will support the General Manager, coach staff, implement merchandising strategies, and create a positive store culture focused on the brand. This hands-on role rewards initiative and teamwork, requires recruiting and developing talent to meet KPI targets, and ensures excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years retail sales experience with management experience (preferred).
• Experience leading a team to meet/sell and profit targets.
• Training skills to elevate product knowledge and selling skills.
• Experience implementing merchandising strategies and changing visual sets.
• Demonstrates authenticity, sincerity, and transparency.
• Available nights, weekends, and holidays including peak seasons.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Supports General Manager in day-to-day store operations to meet KPIs.
• Collaborates with General Manager to plan and execute action plans to meet objectives and timelines.
• Lead by example in sales, customer focus, and coaching staff to improve selling opportunities.
• Create and implement visual merchandising strategies to drive sales and optimize floor layout.
• Use tools and resources to enhance the customer experience and store performance.
• Adapt to change and generate ideas to grow the business.
• Motivate the team to achieve/exceed hourly, daily, weekly goals through in-store and omni selling.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
• Assist in building a dynamic team through recruiting and succession planning.
• Identify training needs and implement tailored programs with GM.
