Job summary

Bath & Body Works is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in developing outstanding associates, delivering consistent customer experiences, and driving growth across the brand.

You will lead by example on the sales floor, coach teammates, manage performance, and execute store initiatives to meet targets while upholding our values, policies, and standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Must be available to work peak days and times, including varied shifts of evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce clear and concise performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues.
• Partner with Sales Leadership Team to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
• Implement and sustain floorset direction to optimize the business and bring the product story to life.
• Perform opening and closing routines including deposits, shipment receipt, and disseminating company directives.
• Set daily direction and goals for the team as shifts begin.
• Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and selling focus.
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences through selling behaviors rooted in Our Values and product knowledge.
• Create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs, sharing product information, and personalized recommendations.
• Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience.
• Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates.
