Job summary

New Balance in Merrimack, NH is seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager to support sales goals and store operations. You will hire, train, and develop staff while upholding New Balance values of integrity, teamwork, and total customer satisfaction.

In this role you will lead by example, coach employees, coordinate scheduling and payroll, and partner with the Store Manager to implement strategic plans. The position requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays and physical ability to lift

Qualifications

• 2 years’ retail experience (higher volume could require more).
• Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of retail operations: sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a 'Total Customer Satisfaction' culture.
• Help Store Manager hit financial and operational objectives.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and District Manager to execute strategic sales plans.
• Lead and coach staff; their success is your success.
• Assist with payroll processing and staff scheduling.
• Step up to lead the team when Store Manager is unavailable.
