New Balance’s Upper East Side store on 1172 3rd Avenue seeks an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales and operations. You will hire, train, and develop the team while modeling New Balance values. In the absence of the Store Manager, you lead the store and ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, meeting financial targets, coordinating community initiatives, and overseeing scheduling and payroll to support a thriving retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ retail experience (higher-volume stores may require more)
• Proficient with POS systems and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control
• Proven leadership and teamwork abilities
• Willing to work flexible schedule including weekends/holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a Total Customer Satisfaction culture
• Assist Store Manager in hitting financial and operational goals
• Collaborate with Store Manager and District Manager on sales plans
• Coach and develop staff; priority on their success
• Coordinate volunteer opportunities to build brand in communities
• Assist with payroll and staff scheduling
• Step up to lead when Store Manager is unavailable
