The Assistant Store Manager at Kimbrell’s Furniture supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, credit functions, and team performance. This role drives operational excellence, ensures credit compliance, and develops team members while delivering a high standard of customer service.

The position fosters accountability and professionalism, maintaining a positive, results-driven store environment and a safe, organized showroom for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; applicable experience considered.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in retail or related field.
• Experience with sales, customer service, and/or credit/collections processes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate company vehicles when required.
• Bilingual English-Spanish ability may be a plus depending on store staffing.

Responsibilities

• Support overall store operations, ensuring adherence to policies and expectations.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to meet sales and service goals.
• Provide performance feedback and assist with employee relations when needed.
• Supervise operations and staff in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Ensure high-quality customer experiences through service and merchandising.
• Assist with showroom organization and display maintenance.
• Drive sales growth through customer engagement and promotions.
• Oversee credit and collections processes for compliance.
• Assist with customer accounts, contracts, and documentation accuracy.
• Maintain financial controls including cash handling and deposits.
• Ensure proper handling of customer information per privacy regulations.
• Support administrative tasks and daily store organization.
