Job summary

FirstCash Holdings, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Baton Rouge. The role offers hourly pay between $13.00 and $16.50 with commission tied to productivity and a performance bonus. You will lead daily store operations, develop staff, maximize sales, and ensure excellent customer relations while maintaining asset protection and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties over long periods.
• Supervise others and work with firearms certification where required.
• Able to work flexible retail hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Excellent cash handling, time management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Foster a customer-centric environment and address issues promptly.
• Train Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards and expectations.
• Recruit top talent through company-approved channels.
• Open/close the store; manage cash drawers and loss prevention.
• Protect assets via inventory control and loan documentation.
• Oversee store processes: inventory, loans, merchandising, reporting.
• Review financial statements and drive profitability with goals.
• Maintain operating standards per FirstCash guidelines.
• Evaluate loans and buying performance to ensure value.
• Communicate clearly with staff about mission and goals.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge; act as MOD when needed.
