Job summary

FirstCash is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Houma, LA to oversee daily store operations and lead a team. The role offers an hourly wage ($13.00–$16.50), plus commission based on productivity and a performance bonus tied to store results, with opportunities to earn additional wage through an Earned Wage Access program.

Open 9 AM–6 PM in many locations, with Sundays often closed; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), discounts, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of management/3rd key experience
• Willingness to work extended retail hours and weekends
• Ability to supervise others and handle cash/diseconomies of scale

Responsibilities

• Foster a customer-centric environment and address issues promptly
• Train and develop store staff and recruit top talent
• Open/close store, count cash and merchandise, protect assets
• Manage inventory, loans, merchandising, and store systems
• Analyze store finances to drive profitability and meet targets
• Ensure adherence to FirstCash standards and asset protection policies
• Mentor employees and communicate store goals and profit objectives
• Act as manager on duty in Store Manager’s absence
• Other duties as assigned
