Job summary

Dollar Tree in Greeneville seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the team. You will organize merchandise flow from delivery to floor, maintain displays, and ensure store standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and store-management experience is preferred; candidates must be able to lift up to 55 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and deliver strong service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom; protect store assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and floors; ensure overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
