Job summary

Dollar Tree in Sweetwater, TN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver strong customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandising, opening and closing procedures, and ensuring the store floor, stockroom, and seasonal areas stay organized and well stocked.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, store-management experience in retail or grocery, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store floor and stockroom according to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
