Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear Kosciusko location is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations and customer service, reporting to the Store Manager. You will help with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling while guiding staff in all departments.

You will act in the Store Manager's absence, supervise team activities, and ensure profitability through vigilant inventory and customer-focused practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Is a self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Is a team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and establishing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service as outlined in manuals.
• Produce and deliver extraordinary customer service per the customer service manual.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the store.
