Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Saint Clair Shores location.

You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise handling, and opening/closing procedures while upholding company standards and a safe work environment. This role requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise between areas as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom per standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety procedures; supervise and develop associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
