Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and secure.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with responsibilities including opening/closing duties, ordering merchandise, and supporting store leadership. Part-time schedule and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
