World Market is seeking an Assistant Manager in California to lead a high-performing team and drive a customer-first selling culture. You will partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, sales, and profitability while upholding our values and standards.

You will coach staff, analyze trends, and ensure loss prevention and safety protocols. The role requires a flexible schedule with opportunities for career growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed
• Minimum age: 21 years

Responsibilities

• Model and lead a customer-first selling culture by driving engagement, customer loyalty initiatives, visual standards, and brand values
• Analyze business trends using reports to identify opportunities and take action
• Maintain and exemplify World Market culture and values
• Plan for and execute daily business tasks in the absence of the Store Manager
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance, customer-focused team
• Utilize company tools to educate and validate team execution of key functions
• Validate and maintain Loss Prevention policies and inventory controls
• Support a safe work environment through ongoing safety training and accountability
