Job summary

Goodwill of the Greater Washington is seeking a retail leader to partner with the store manager and guide a team in a dynamic, community-focused environment. You will drive daily operations, coach staff, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding company policies and safety standards.

You will focus on developing talent, supervising associates, and ensuring smooth store operations with a strong emphasis on community impact and mission-driven goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1–3 years previous management experience in retail or similar service oriented business.
• Basic math and computer skills (timekeeping, POS, spreadsheets).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be willing to work flexible days and hours to meet a seven-day operation.
• Personal vehicle to transport store receipts to the bank.

Responsibilities

• Assists the store manager with the overall operation of the business unit.
• Develops, coaches and trains all direct reports in the business unit.
• Helps to create an atmosphere of ongoing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Makes recommendations for hiring and evaluating of associates on the team.
• Assists the store manager in performing the daily administrative/clerical functions of store operations.
• Provides exceptional customer service to customers, including resolving concerns.
• Models, monitors and enforces compliance with company policies and standards.
