Job summary

Express is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at Allen Premium Outlets. The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in supervising the store operations, recruiting, management, training, and sales functions, driving productivity, complying with company policies, and creating a great in-store shopping experience for our retail customers.

The position requires prior retail leadership, strong customer service, and the ability to coach and develop Sales Associates to achieve store

Qualifications

• Education: High School or Equivalent
• Years of Experience: 1-3 of relevant job experience
• Proficient in use of technology (iPad, registers)
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills
• Met defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends and non-business hours
• Met physical requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, inspiring, and retaining top talent
• Maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork
• Coach, train and develop Sales Associates
• Partner with Store Manager to identify high performers for growth
• Assist in hiring process by participating in interviews
• Support analysis of the business and communicate action plans
• Oversee all aspects of daily store operations
• Execute plans to optimize results
• Ensure sales floor coverage to meet customer needs
• Oversee merchandise flow including shipments and replenishment
• Adhere to company policies and ensure safety
• Lead store strategy to achieve performance goals
• Drive merchandising, loyalty programs and initiatives
• Create a great in-store experience
• Model proactive customer engagement
• Greet and assist customers and share product information
• Resolve customer complaints and identify solutions
