J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our leadership team. You will help drive profitability through authentic customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement while coaching the sales team to peak performance.

You’ll collaborate with the leadership team to adapt strategies for business success and provide smooth operational support as needed. This role requires flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail management experience
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty
• Scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift/move at least 40 pounds

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results with a meaningful connection to the brand and maximize profitability.
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling) and manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist Store Director & Associate Store Manager with recruiting, training and development efforts as needed.
• Partner with Store Director and Associate Store Manager to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team consistently exceeds goals and provides best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge for associates and strengthen customer connections.
• Develop innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when required.
