Job summary

J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a store team and drive profitability through strong customer connections and brand loyalty.

You’ll coach the sales team, manage operations, assist with recruiting, and partner with leadership to deliver best-in-class service and community engagement. The role requires 1–2 years of retail management experience and scheduling flexibility, including nights and weekends.

• 1-2 years of retail management experience.
• Passion for brand, customers and teams.
• Stay up-to-date with fashion trends and industry developments.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to directly impact business results with a meaningful connection to every aspect of the brand while maximizing profitability.
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology while ensuring accountability.
• Assist Store Director & Associate Store Manager with recruiting, training and development efforts, if needed.
• Partner with Store Director to curate a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team is on track to exceed goals and provide best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions that boost product knowledge for associates to elevate authentic customer connection.
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when needed.
