Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations and coach staff in a fast-paced retail setting in St. Louis. You will drive sales, protect assets, and uphold brand standards while delivering outstanding guest experiences.

As a member of the leadership team, you’ll supervise scheduling, training, and performance, and foster an inclusive culture aligned with Lids policies. This role reports to the Store Manager and supports community engagement.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear professional verbal communication.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints.
• Lead store associates through training programs and goal setting.
• Administer progressive discipline with verbal and written warnings.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment aligned with brand standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including covering peaks.
• Recruit and train store personnel on procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safeguard inventory and funds.
• Support sales strategy to achieve KPIs and customer service excellence.
• Maintain store appearance and VM standards.
• Open/close store following operations procedures.
