J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement at our Spartanburg location. You’ll coach the sales team and partner with leadership to keep operations running smoothly and support the brand experience.

You’ll lead in-store initiatives, manage processes across Visual Merchandising, HR, and operations, and ensure best-in-class service while fostering teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving

Qualifications

• 1–2 years retail management experience or similar scope.
• Passion for brand, customers, and teams.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director and Associate Store Manager to impact business results and profitability.
• Own designated division (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Collaborate to create a positive, collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team consistently exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost authentic customer connections.
• Develop innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when needed.
