Job summary

Banana Republic is seeking an Assistant Manager in Texas to lead the store team and bring the brand to life for customers. You’ll drive profitable sales through customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development, collaborating with management to train Leads and Brand Associates for a best-in-class experience.

You will oversee store strategies, recruit and coach staff, and ensure consistent SOPs while representing the brand in a competitive retail landscape.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication with customers and team.
• Passion for retail and fast-paced environments.
• Driven by metrics to meet business goals.
• Able to coach and mentor leaders to grow.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, overnights and weekends.
• Able to utilize retail technology.
• Able to move around sales floor, stockroom and office and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies and processes to drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
• Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
• Represent the brand and understand the competition and retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement.
• Leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
