Job summary

Banana Republic is seeking an Assistant Manager to set the store tone and lead the team in delivering a best-in-class customer experience. You will drive profitable sales by overseeing customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development.

You will coach Leads, Experts and Brand Associates, collaborate with the GM/AGM, and strive to meet performance goals while maintaining brand standards and community involvement. This role requires flexibility with scheduling.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent communication with customers and team to hit goals.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Data-driven and motivated by metrics to achieve business goals.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and profitability through customer-centric strategies.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associates and Experts.
• Own assigned area of responsibility and implement action plans.
• Perform Service Leader duties and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Represent the brand and stay aware of the retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement and omni-channel experiences.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and standards.
• Support scheduling including holiday, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.
• Travel as required.
