Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Hazelwood, Missouri to help oversee daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop a high-performing team. You will support opening/closing, organize merchandise flow, and ensure store standards are met.

You will supervise and train store associates, protect assets, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment while following company policies and directives to drive sales and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read/interpret operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms and floors.
