Job summary

Dollar Tree in Maryland Heights, MO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening and closing, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train store associates to ensure friendly, safe shopping experiences.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work in a high-energy team environment while maintaining company standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and train store associates
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment
• Complete other duties as assigned
