Dollar Tree Stores INC is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a full-time, on-site role in Missouri.

You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise flow, and opening/closing procedures while upholding company standards and policies. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and manage store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Enforce policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Noted responsibilities may be amended by supervision.
