Job summary

Rack Room Shoes in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and policy compliance. You will lead and train staff, deliver excellent customer service, and assume full responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create and maintain an exceptional customer shopping experience and service standards.
• Process Sales, Discounts, Refunds, and Loyalty transactions per policy.
• Oversee Inventory control, shipping/receiving, price changes, and markdowns.
• Lead merchandise placement, floor maintenance, and signage per standards.
• Manage scheduling, payroll budgeting, and attendance adherence.
• Train and develop direct reports in line with policies and tools.
• Support loss prevention and protect company assets.
• Develop a deep understanding of day-to-day store operations.
