Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Norman, OK seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and administration. The role requires knowledge of product areas and a commitment to superior customer service, with supervisory duties during the Store Manager's absence.

The Assistant Manager will help with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling, while promoting merchandise and maintaining policy standards across the store.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Collaborate on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Take full store responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating store personnel.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to help profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Maintain awareness of inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure high quality customer service and store policies are followed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote merchandise.
• Uphold all company policies and internal controls.
