Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Lawton, OK is hiring an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, drive sales, train staff, and ensure excellent customer service. The role requires knowledge of product areas, adherence to policies, and readiness to act as the manager in their absence.

You will help with selling, stocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling, while controlling store assets and monitoring performance.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Produce extraordinary customer service and promote merchandise.
• Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures.
