Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Idabel, Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations and personnel, drive sales, and maintain exemplary customer service. You will assist in merchandising, inventory, staffing, and process adherence, ensuring the store meets its goals.

The role requires knowledge of multiple product areas, strong communication, and the ability to lead during the Store Manager's absence. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with focus on daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
