The role promotes outstanding customer service, assists in staffing, merchandising, scheduling, and inventory control, and acts as acting Store Manager in their absence.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure extraordinary customer service per the manual and promote merchandise.
• Uphold company policies and procedures.
