Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP is seeking a part-time, on-site team member in Covington, KY to support day-to-day store operations and customer service. The role emphasizes a positive customer experience, efficient merchandise handling, and adherence to store procedures and safety guidelines.

The position involves assisting the Store Manager in supervising and developing store associates, maintaining clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and helping with opening/closing duties

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store-related communications.
• Maintain promotional storefront displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized and protect assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure compliance by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of store, bathrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
