Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP in Liberty, Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a cohesive team. This role focuses on daily activities, merchandising, and ensuring store standards are met.

You will assist with opening and closing duties, supervise associates, adapt to busy conditions, and help implement corporate directives while maintaining a clean, welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize, stock merchandise, and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and ensure store standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling tasks, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store with organized stockroom.
