Family Dollar in Kentucky is seeking a part-time store associate to support day-to-day operations and customer service. You will help customers, organize merchandise, and assist with opening/closing duties while supporting the Store Manager and training fellow associates.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient store upkeep, with duties spanning stockroom to sales floor, loss prevention, and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to read and explain operational directives and merchandise schematics.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain records including payroll and cash handling.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and stockroom organization to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Support store operations to ensure a neat, safe, and presentable environment.
