Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. The role includes assisting with day-to-day store activities, organizing merchandise, and supporting the Store Manager in training associates.

You will ensure a clean, organized sales floor, manage opening/closing procedures, and help uphold store policies while delivering strong customer service in a high-energy team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environments is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Ability to train and develop store associates and work in a high-energy team setting

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store functions and activities
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner
• Organize and move merchandise from receiving to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process directives and maintain compliance with store policies
• Maintain store displays and promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks
• Ensure a clean, stocked, and secure store environment
• Support the Store Manager in training and developing staff
• Maintain safe, respectful, and professional interactions with customers and colleagues
