Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Conroe, TX. You’ll assist with day-to-day activities, open/close procedures, and help organize merchandise from delivery to floor.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits) and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional store environment
• Other duties as assigned
