Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our McKinney location. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure organized merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lead a team, and the capacity to manage opening/closing procedures and store policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support training and development of Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and cash handling tasks.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets.
