Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, provide excellent customer service, and develop the store team. The role covers daily activities, merchandise handling, and ensuring safety and policy adherence.

You will support opening/closing, merchandising, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom. This position offers opportunities for growth and closer collaboration with the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
