Job summary

Athleta in Cary, North Carolina, is seeking an Assistant Manager who will set the tone for the store and lead the team to deliver a best-in-class experience. You’ll drive profitable sales through customer-focused operations, merchandising, and talent development, while partnering with the General Manager to execute the store strategy.

You’ll coach Brand Associates and Experts, recruit and develop talent, oversee service standards, omni-channel efforts, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent communication with customers and team to achieve goals.
• Passion for retail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Metrics-driven to meet business goals.
• Ability to lead and inspire others through coaching and mentoring.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
• Experience with retail technology.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and move around sales floor, stockroom and office.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies to drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
