Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Prattville, Alabama is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, staffing and customer service. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Store Manager and requires knowledge of product areas and store policies.

Responsibilities include aiding in asset control, staffing, training, and delivering outstanding customer service while promoting merchandise. Previous retail experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and achieve goals and profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, stocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Serve as acting Store Manager in their absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Ensure quality customer service and promote merchandise.
