Job summary

The Assistant Manager will act in the Store Manager's absence, help recruit, train, and evaluate personnel, and ensure profitability through effective inventory and service standards across all departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to set action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• In the Store Manager's absence, assume supervisory control and responsibilities.
• Guide staff in departments to ensure standards and tasks are completed.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to help profitability.
• Maintain extraordinary customer service per company manuals and policies.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the store.
• Uphold company policies and internal controls and report potential fraud risks.
