Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations in Ottawa, IL. You will help drive sales, merchandising, inventory control, and staff scheduling while upholding company policies and standards.

You will supervise in the Store Manager's absence, ensure excellent customer service, and promote merchandise across departments. A background in retail and footwear is preferred, with 1-3 years of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Retail experience especially in footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Collaborate on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Act as the store's supervisor in the Store Manager's absence.
• Participate in recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
